The taxi driver course itself costs £40.00 for the first and third attempt, with a private hire knowledge test costing £15.00 to resit. So this means, if you pass first time, it'll only set you back £40.00, but on your second try, you'll be paying £15.00 on top, and for your third and final chance, another £40.00. Suppose you fail on your third attempt, you will have spent £95 and have nothing to show for it! That's why it's so important to pass and get your career on the road as soon as possible.
